In Week 05 (and in the formative), you learned about linear regression and its use (and misuse) in the sciences in general. This week, we will learn about the basics of machine learning and how it can be used to make predictions. We will also learn about the different types of machine learning, but we will focus on supervised learning algorithms, namely regression and classification algorithms.
