Group Project Definition + Tech Support

π’ Important Note: This lab session is designed to help you define your group projects and provide technical support for your ongoing work.
Jon will look at the shared MS Word document later to check if you have formed groups. If there are multiple groups with the same project, Jon will randomly assign you to one of them.
Then, once all groups have been formed, Jon will update Moodle with the necessary information about the next steps.

To make the most of this lab session, please:
- Bring your laptop with your current implementation.
- Have specific questions ready about any issues youβre facing.
- Be prepared to share your screen if youβd like help with your code.

Group Formation (30-β minutes)
In keeping with the spirit of DSI courses, the last piece of assessment in this course is a group project. You will submit your final project via GitHub by β³ 29 May 2025.
Talk to your colleagues and form groups of 3-4. Review the project definitions on the live Sharepoint document and decide which project you want to pursue. Make sure to add your names to your preferred project.
You can also add your names to multiple projects if you like several options. Try to indicate your preferences in the document.
βοΈ Problem Set 2 Support (remaining time)
Use any remaining time to continue working on βοΈ Problem Set 2. Alex and Barry will be available to provide help, so donβt hesitate to ask for assistance.

This session will also provide technical support for your ongoing projects. Feel free to ask for help with:
- Database setup and configuration
- Data pipeline implementation and troubleshooting
- Embedding generation and similarity search
- General guidance and advice
