🤖 AI help for coding (~30 min)

You have been exposed to some basic R in this course. In this first part of the course, we will use a Generative AI tool, ChatGPT, Google Bard or Bing’s Chat (choose whichever one is available to you) to help us write some R code.

Your instructor will explain your task, but it will be a challenging programming task we wouldn’t expect you to complete in a few minutes.

The idea is for you experience how powerful generative AI can be for coding.

📰 AI and misinformation (~30 min)

Generative AI algorithms are prone to hallucinate. While this can be fun at times, it can also be dangerous.

In this second part of the class, your task will be to create a fake news article using a generative AI tool. You will then show us your article and we will discuss the implications of this technology.

📝 Reflection and Summative Help (~30 min)

The final part of the class (and of this course) will be dedicated to reflection and help with the final assignment.
